No. 8 Fibre

Hamilton city has a fibre based network operated by Velocity Networks that spans most of the CBD and a number of outlying areas. This provides ultra-high speed broadband internet access to commercial buildings at speeds of up to 1Gbps.

We also have special residential rates that we can offer to users in apartment complexes that are near the Velocity Network.

All of our urban fibre plans include a 10 Mbps upload and download speed so that your business can stay connected at super fast speeds.

Fibre 20GB - Ideal for businesses who need fast access to online business applications, corporate intranets, email, voice services, etc.

Fibre 50GB - Ideal for businesses who need to transfer large files seamlessly between clients and business partners.

Fibre 100GB - Our biggest plan suits businesses who perform off-site backups, transfer lots of very large files to and from customers and business parters and use complex corporate intranets. If your business needs fast internet access without having to worry about data caps, this is the plan for you.

Fibre 15/15 - If your apartment complex has access to the Velocity urban fibre network, we can offer 15 Mbps upload and download speeds with a 4 GB data cap. This is a special residential plan offered over the Velocity fibre network and is not available to business customers.

Once we have established with Velocity Networks that your business is within reach of the fibre network, an assessment of the existing fibre into your building will need to be made. The installation cost will vary depending on whether fibre needs to be run into your building or if it already exists.
