Goodbye Telecom!
I have been using Rural Link at my place of residence for both private & business use now for 12 months & cannot speak highly enough about the service provided.
Never once have I rung & spoken to a computer generated voice.
Never once have I been asked to ‘wait in line’.
I currently run 2 phone lines & have 7 pc’s accessing the internet from the 1 house & will be continuing to have Rural Link as my one & only provider of this service.

Our community was desperate to get Broadband and all efforts with Telecom, Iconz and other big providers failed, until Rural Link came to our rescue. In August 2008 Rural Link installed Broadband in the upper Hokianga area.

Most of the subscribers have cut their telephone lines (what a tremendous feeling) and enjoy a fantastic and reliable wireless system (phone and broadband) with a very affordable plan according to their needs. We have a tourism business and our visitors can hardly believe that our broadband system is faster than in many areas of Auckland.

A great project to be part of that brings broadband to a rural community. It is fast, efficient and reasonably priced, how we ever managed on dial up I do not know. Saving us at least $100 per month!
Rural Link enabled us to HAVE a broadband service. No other broadband provider in NZ was able to, due primarily to our location. Our connection enables us faster more efficient internet service - great for regular Skype contact with friends and family. In addition to regular broadband use, all our phone-calls are now made via our internet connection saving us at least $100 per month.

I am the managing director of a rural based ecological science consultancy firm in Te Pahu, Waikato. We employ four full time and five part time scientists and technicians. When the company was formed in 2001, we struggled to operate as a rural based business because of the limitations of poor dialup internet connections. Clients were regularly emailing us 20MB reports and engineers were expecting us to download 200MB CAD and GIS files instantly.
Rural Link has allowed Kessels & Associates to maintain a rural based office. Their wireless broadband service is fast and reliable. We are now totally dependant on wireless broadband to maintain contact will dozens of corporate and local government clients throughout New Zealand. On a personal level Rural Link allows me to see more of my two children as the office is connected to the family home, contribute and participate in the running of the local school during the week, and gives our employees a great location to work in.

Living in a rural community we are not exposed to fast internet as most residents in the city. However, this has changed for rural residents in the Whitehall area thanks to Rural Link.
It has been over a year now that we have been using this service and I am most impressed with the technology that Rural Link offers (very reliable connection) and customer service (regular notifications of system upgrades).
I would have no hesitation to recommend this service to other rural customers.
